Pioneers For Jesus and the Ministry of the Knapp Family.

Raymond Knapp, born in New Jersey on April 06,1940 , was raised Methodist,  he joined the USAF on October 03, 1957.  Finished 4 years active duty and while in College finished 2 years inactive  for a total of 6 years with the USAF.

Raymond W. Knapp and Carol Joy Garrett both entered Bible College in 1960.  They married in 1963 Raymond then joined the International Ministerial Association, Inc, that same year.

They finished three years of studies for a Ministerial Diploma from International Bible College, San Antonio, Texas.  In May of 1964 their first daughter was born, Martha Ruth.  Then November of 1964 Raymond and Carol Joy were Ordained, in Oakland California, by the Pentecostal Assembly Inc. with the approval of the I. M. A.  Before leaving for their first five-year missionary journey, to the Philippines Islands, to work with Rev. Eugene D. Garrett, Carols dad.  The went to Luzon to study the Cebuano language, then they moved to the Island of Mindanao in the south of the Philippines.  Moving into the Jungles and started a Short term Bible school, living without any modern appliances only a battery radio for the next four years.

1964 to 1982
The Knapp family ministered to the Philippine Islands where they helped establish many Churches and a Bible school. Training pastors, youth leaders, elders and overseers, as part of the outreach to Pioneers for Jesus.  In 1966 Elizabeth Joy our second daughter was born.  During these years a few hundred ministers were trained and many outreaches and Churches were founded. Over nineteen thousand followed the Lord Jesus, both in Water and Spirit Baptism during that time. This work can still be seen today, as the Philippine Ministerial Association which they helped founder, with Bro. Eugene Garrett. That  work is still growing and it is reported that over a 1,000 Churches and Outreaches in 2001 under the leadership of Becky and Omar Dalumpines, Becky is sister Carol Joy's, Pilipino sister, as her mom and dad adopted Becky, they had her since she was two days old. The Dalumpines are blessed of the Lord.

In 1969 the Knapp family returned to International Bible College in San Antonio, Texas, where Raymond earned his Bachelor of Theology degree in 1970. The same year Carol gave birth to Eugene Raymond their son, then returned to the Philippines that year with their and two daughters.

Raymond and Carol Knapp had their last daughter Patrisha Grace, born in 1977 in Cebu City, where they moved to from Mindanao. The purchased land in Bukidnon, Mindanao where with the help of the pastors a building for the Bible Seminary was made.  Then the training of the staff and teachers.  This Seminary is still producing Pastors and ministers. 

   2001-2002 the extended family today. 

Carol and Raymond both earned the Doctor of Divinity degree in 1979 from Grace Apostolic College. Inc. School of Religious Education, in the State of Ohio, for the work they did in establishing a Seminary and producing the curriculum.  They wrote lessons for each book of the Bible and taught the administration of the school  to the local teachers which is now  in the hands of the staff there.  The Students grow their own food, and study daily to finish the two year course of study, making the school self supported.

1982 to 1989
Dr's Raymond and Carol Knapp with three of their four children took a step of faith to reach Taiwan, China with the Gospel.  After a year of study in Chinese,  the Lord opened the doors to help establish the Karl Witte School for Children. All the teachers are Christian and by their witness, hundreds of children have come to knowledge of Jesus, because of the lives of the teachers and staff of that school.

1989 to 1997,
Pioneers for Jesus, sent the Knapp's to Hong Kong to set up courses to train Pastors and Chinese Christians to use the computer to reach the lost, in Hong Kong and China. Brother Knapp started the Pioneers For Jesus Bulletin Board System (BBS) in Hong Kong which had over 700 members..  Now they have moved into the Internet, to reach  both for China and the world as a witness. Jesus said to preach the gospel to all the world. Many, who have called the BBS modem and by phone had no knowledge of God.   

With the Lords leading, Raymond was asked to pastor together with pastor Amos Tsang, who is a fine Chinese brother in the Lord. They are working together with other Chinese's elders and  open a new church Christian Glorify Grace Church, in Shueng Shui.   Which now has moved to a larger building for 2003 to Fanling, in the New Territories of Hong Kong, SAR, China.  In 2005 church moved again to Shueng Shui, NT and have two floors for services, which is on the main street there. This is next to the communist Chinese border with Hong Kong. Part of this work is working with and in youth camps, outreaches, home cell meetings and house meetings, many are now hearing of Christ for the first time.  This is all part of the growing work, adding to the church in China and Hong Kong.  Pioneers for Jesus, now has outreaches for the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ in these areas, with contacts in Hong Kong, China and Asia, so the gospel can be preached to all these nations.  The Lord also has open the door for us to work with Christian Cornerstone Church which is in TST near Kowloon, in the Hong Kong SAR, China, Sister Esther Wong is their Pastor.  As well as other churches in the area.
